    Dana Winik (nee Reid)

    Dana Winik (nee Reid) has nearly 10 years of experience in the dietetics industry. She previously worked as a Clinical Dietitian at St Vincent’s Hospital. During her time at the hospital, Dana began working in private practice part-time and established Munch Dietetics in Bondi Junction, Sydney.

    Munch Dietetics was set up to provide evidence-based practical advice on all aspects of nutrition and offers tailored meal plans to suit each client’s needs and lifestyle. Dana now dedicates all her time to Munch Dietetics where she works full-time as the Principal Dietitian.
    Throughout her career Dana has developed expertise in a number of areas of personal and clinical interest. These include weight management, insulin resistance, polycystic ovary syndrome, fertility, high cholesterol, diabetes and cancer.

    I have struggled with obesity all my life. As no diet seemed to work for me, I began to resign myself to the idea that I will always be overweight. Dana has taught me how to build my menu so that the food I eat is not only healthier, but more filling as well. I was exposed to a new way of thinking about food - every week, for over seven months, I said goodbye to 1-2kg. Now I'm at a normal weight, am no longer in danger of developing all the problems connected to my weight. None of it could be achieved without Dana's dedicated care and great skill.

    I have been seeing Dana of Munch Dietetics for 12 months now. When I first walked into her doors, I was severely obese with a high blood glucose level. I had always struggled with my weight. I thought Dana was going to be the same as other Dietitian’s I had visited over the years offering an unrealistic diet and exercise plan. I would fail and hence never come back. I was however amazed at the personal interest Dana showed. She set me up for success by creating a realistic meal plan and supporting me along the way. I felt I could do this. To date, I have lost 33kg and my blood glucose level is back to normal. I thank Dana for her dedication and motivation.
